Seaweed Pods

I collected this seaweed from a local Canterbury beach and was fascinated by the texture of the roots once dried, they reminded me of a heart with branching veins. I’ve used a combination of watercolour, charcoal and graphite pencil on Saunders Waterford watercolour paper.
